Omnicare Diagnostics by Praxis Architects — three old buildings reborn as one. A story of renovation, unification, and modern design. Photographed by us.

A celebration of Bengal’s weaving heritage — from jamdani to tant and gamcha — brought to life in a compact modern retail space at Bashundhara City. Designed by Ninth Realm, the store blends tradition with safety through fire-resistant ACP panels, arched forms inspired by handlooms, and rattan lights that glow with rural warmth.

The few minutes of twilight, always my most cherished.

আজকে রাত নয়টায় কারওয়ান বাজারের স্টার কাবাবের সামনে আমি আমার অ্যাভেঞ্জার মটরসাইকেলটি রাখি এবং আমার একটি ওপেন-ফেস হেলমেট বাইকের সাথে রেখে উপরে খেতে যাই।

যখন আমি নিচে নামি এবং হেলমেটটি হাতে নেই, তখনই আমার মনে হল যে এই হেলমেটটি তো আমার হেলমেটের মতো ফিল হচ্ছে না। এটা একটা নতুন হেলমেট, এবং তাকিয়ে দেখি যে আমার হেলমেট ছিল কালো, আর এটি একটি গাঢ় সবুজ রঙের হেলমেট, একই মডেল। আমার হেলমেটের এক পাশে একটি গোপ্রো মাউন্ট ছিলো এবং আরেক পাশে ছিল ভেস্পা ক্লাবের স্টিকার। কিন্তু এই হেলমেটটি খুবই নতুন, কোনো মাউন্ট বা স্টিকার কিছুই নেই।

কিছুক্ষণ সেখানে অপেক্ষা করি। কিন্তু আমি আসলে আশেপাশে আর অন্য কোনো বাইকচালক বা মোটরসাইকেল দেখি না। শেষে আমি নতুন হেলমেটটা পরেই বাসায় চলে আসি। কিন্তু ব্যাপারটা নিয়ে আমি আসলে কিছুটা গিল্টি ফিল করছি।

কেউ যদি আসলে ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবে বা অনিচ্ছাকৃতভাবে হেলমেটটি আমার সাথে পরিবর্তন করে নিয়ে যান, তাহলে আমাকে কন্ট্যাক্ট করতে পারেন। আমি এক্সচেঞ্জ করতে প্রস্তুত। ধন্যবাদ।
